Olive house is a family’s summer escape in their Jbeil hometown of Bejjeh in Lebanon. It is an area with untouched natural land, virgin forests, and terraced lots with olive trees.

The couple who owns the land had contradictory views on how they envisioned the design of the house. One encouraged a more modern style while the other was attached to the traditional and more conserved style. Therefore, the house was drawn to satisfy both tastes:

A circulation axis divided the house into two parts. The reception area with its vaulted traditional atmosphere, and the private area incorporating the kitchen, living rooms, and bedrooms with their modern and feel-good atmosphere. At the end of the axis, an outdoor reception area lies with its edgeless swimming pool and mountain scenery.

The house has three interior reception areas and two exterior ones, a dining room directly linked to the kitchen, with its services, two living rooms, and four bedrooms linked to the second-story terrace through passages. It is well-integrated within its land to the point where it is minimal and insignificant from the roadside but majestic and comfortable towards the mountain view and gardens.
